I am a sewist, mom, wife, designer, blogger, and fabric enthusiast. I learned to sew alongside my mom, but lost interest in the craft until my early twenties, and I've spent the last fifteen years making up for lost time! I've experimented with modern quilting, accessories and garment sewing, hand-printed fabric, and textile design, I have found my love in pattern design, and sell my original sewing and embroidery patterns in the imagine gnats shop.

Wow, Rachael, this video is awesome! And I am so, so glad you included brown dolls. The sewing/fabric world is sadly devoid of whimsical brown characters. I can’t tell you how much I loved this. Can I put this video on my blog when I blog my dress tomorrow? Hugs and /amazing/ job!

absolutely!! and i have to admit that i’m quite partially to ethnically diverse dolls. they just seem, i don’t know, cuter!! things are boring if they’re all white ;)

Thank you for this paper doll. It is a great idea !! My daughter did it today, she loves it so much. She names the doll “Milly”. She sleeps with her right now. My daughter thinks it would be good if Milly has her own bed. There you go…may be an idea for you… doll house and its furniture for Milly and friends.. Just a suggestion.

My daughter’s birthday is coming soon, I am going to print this out and put it in the party bag. Thanks again.. It is a brilliant idea !!

P.S: the standing mechanism doesn’t quite work so well, especially with the clothes on. Milly tend to lean forward.

These are great! Thank you. If you ever decide to make more, I’d love to some boy patterns too.
